FTC members will be saddened to hear of the passing of much-loved Fishbourne club member Sandy Thornton. Sandy died on Christmas morning after a short illness. Here is a message from Paul:
“Sandy passed away on Christmas morning, very peacefully, with me by her side. Please be happy for her that she had a beautiful departure.
Sandy was very pleased to get the lovely card from you all and she was touched by the beautiful flowers.
She absolutely loved playing at Fishbourne and sent her love to you all.
Sandy did not want a funeral, but for those who would like to remember her happily with a drink in their hand, I will organise something cheerful next year some time.”
Paul says he will be back playing at the club again soon, meanwhile Fishbourne Tennis Club and all Sandy’s many friends at the club send their condolences to him.
