Are you the club’s new Mixed Masters team captain?

The beating heart of Fishbourne Tennis Club is mixed doubles play – it’s what many of us enjoy the most. And no surprise, we are quite good at it, the FTC team in our local Portsmouth & District league going from strength to strength. For the past five years this team has been ably masterminded by Jazz Kimbell. Jazz is now calling it a day and the hunt is on for a new captain to take over from him.

The new captain, man or woman, will find they have a big squad of enthusiastic players to call on. All have a competitive streak but more important is that all enjoy playing in this competition; as anyone who has played for the team will agree, the games are always good fun.

Jazz is seeing out the winter league and the new captain will take over for the summer league starting in March, so plenty of time to get things organised. All the games are mid week.

“Fishbourne Mixed Masters is currently one of the better teams in the division.  We should aim to keep it that way,” says Jazz. “I will, of course, be more than happy to spend some time with the new incumbent so as to pass on my worldly knowledge.”

So come forward please FTC’s new Mixed Masters captain, we need you! Speak to Jazz on [email protected] for more information, email membership sec Ivor or speak to any committee member if you want to know more.
