Fishbourne Tennis Club is currently recruiting new members – juniors and adults of all abilities. We are a club where the focus is very much on enjoying playing tennis, and while we may not provide all the non-tennis activities of the larger clubs, if it is tennis you are after you are in the right place – we offer members unrivalled benefits at an unbeatable price.
Members can partake in five mix-in club sessions of turn-up-and-play social tennis. These sessions are for doubles play, with the emphasis on mixed doubles. The club even provides free balls for these sessions!
Members have free use of the courts at other times and for a small fee can bring guests with them. Booking a court is easy and all done online. As a member, you even benefit from complimentary use of the floodlights, a particular boon on early evenings in autumn and spring, and also free use of a SlingerBag automatic ball-feeding machine which members can book online in advance for when you want a hit by yourself.
The club holds an annual championships as well as regular mix-in American tournaments – great fun and perfect for meeting your fellow members. If you want to take your tennis to the next level, why not join a coaching class with our coaching partner Generation Tennis, or join club members of all ages in one of the seven doubles teams we field in the Portsmouth & District LTA league?
There’s a clubhouse, outside seating areas on the lawns, free and easy parking and all the facilities of the Fishbourne Centre, with its bar, terrace and function rooms. In the past a selection of social events, from barbecues to quiz nights and table tennis evenings, have proved immensely popular.
