Under the enthusiastic control of Pammi, the new Sunday afternoon American tournaments have been a great success. Which is why they are continuing through the autumn and winter!
The American tournament format – limited games, limited number of people, everyone playing at once – has proven to be the ideal answer to playing tennis at the time of Covid. Socially distanced and safe as you can get, these informal and fun games have also been the perfect place for old and new members to get to know each other.
Remember, though, you can’t just turn up as you can at the mix-in sessions on Saturday mornings; to play in one of the American tournaments you must book in first. Do this by contacting Pammi at [email protected] or calling her on 07962 837204.
These sessions can only accommodate a limited number of players so will be booked on a first come first served basis and we would like to encourage new members to join us.Entry is £1 per player and the winner will receive a tin of new tennis balls.
Players must bring their own marked balls and abide by the safety rules before, during and after play.
From now until Christmas there will be an American Tournament every other week, each held on Sundays from 2pm to 4pm as follows.

- 8TH NOVEMBER
- 22nd NOVEMBER
- 6th DECEMBER
- AND PROBABLY A FESTIVE ONE ON 20TH DECEMBER.
