FTC Open Day activities confirmed

Free tennis fun for all the family is the name of the game at the friendliest and best-value tennis club on the coast on Saturday 16 May. That’s when Fishbourne Tennis Club’s annual and very popular Open Day takes place between 1.30 and 4.30pm.

All are welcome – adults and juniors, regular players and beginners. Although the day is primarily aimed at attracting new members, existing FTC members are welcome to come along and help – we particularly need ‘tennis ambassadors’ to act as hosts and help explain FTC and tennis to our guests.

The day provides newcomers with the ideal opportunity to learn more about the great game of tennis and what the club – now affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association – can do for them, whether it’s taking part in the five-times-a-week social tennis sessions, joining  a coaching class or competing in the many tournaments.

Racquets and balls will be provided and qualified coaches from FTC’s coaching partner, Generation Tennis, will be giving out free expert tips.

Generation Tennis will also be inviting people to try the new fun fitness craze of Cardio Tennis with two free sessions at 2.30pm and 3.30pm. Existing members are more than welcome to take part, too.

Free light refreshments will be served all afternoon while other fun events include a fastest serve competition, mini tournament and chance to win a prize for anyone who can take a game off the club champion!

There will also be some amazing offers on the day including 20% off all Fishbourne Tennis Club memberships (new members only), vouchers for one free Cardio Tennis lesson and 10% off Yonex racquets. You can even try a racquet before you buy!

Please let a committee member know if you would like to help at the Open Day.
